Training Focus: Ending Hunger and the Subjugation of Wom

Thursday May 1 through Sunday June 22:
Formal Zen Training open to all Students in good standing with the Zen Center. Members who choose to participate in the formal session will be asked to revise their membership to Student level. Daisan with Yoshin Sensei and Interview with Yuho will be available only to Students training within a Body of Agreements that will include participation as follows:

BODY OF COMMITMENTS (Student Membership Required)
* Zazen 3 times per week on Tuesday & Thursday 5-6am, and Sunday 8:45-10:30am
* Daisan 1 time per week (minimum) with Yoshin Sensei, offered at his discretion
* Interview 1 time per week (minimum) with Jean Yuho Ford
* Fushinsamu 2-3 times per month (Sun 7-8 am)
* Serve is assigned position
* Sesshin 1 full-time
* Zazenkai 1 full-time
* Student dues $90 monthly paid with complete integrity (on time, up to date)
* Ceremonies Attendance requested at ceremonies and special occasions: Jukai, Tokudo, etc.

Absences 2 allowed absences, communicated in advance

Training Days
Tuesday: Zazen and Daisan/ Interview 5:00 am to 6:00 am
Thursday: Zazen and Daisan/ Interview 5:00 am to 6:00 am
Sunday: Service, Zazen (Daisan/ Interview & Dharma Talk when offered): 8:45 am - 10:30 am
Zazenkai: Saturday May 10, 5:00am - 2:30 pm
Sesshin:
· Wednesday June 18, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
· Thursday June 19, 5:00 am - 9:00 pm
· Friday June 20, 5:00 am - 9:00 pm
· Saturday June 21, 5:00 am - 9:00 pm
· Sunday June 22, 5:00 am - 10:00 am
(Students attending their 1st Sesshin may enter part-time on Thursday June 19 at 6:00pm)

Allowed Absences
Each Student will enjoy 2 allowed discretionary absences for the Formal session, communicated in advance, and not to be taken for Zazenkai or Sesshin.

In order to establish your eligibility for training, please communicate if you have any anticipated absences for a) work-related travel, b) infant/elder/major-medical care, and c) significant but brief family life events such as weddings and funerals, well in advance of registering for the training.

Three un-communicated absences will be interpreted as "D.O.R." (Dropped on Request).
