Sensei Bill Yoshin Jordan began training in 1969 at the Rochester Zen Center in the early 70s. He continued his training under Taizan Maezumi Roshi from 1976 until Roshi’s death 1994. Sensei completed his formal training and received Dharma Transmission from Jikyo Roshi in April of 1999. In June of 2008, he was installed as Abbott at a ceremony designating the Santa Monica Zen Center as Gaki-Ji (Hungry Ghost Temple).
